Default The Sci-fi thread

Anything Sci-fi...

Haven't been to movies (cinema) in ages, but love Sci-fi stuff.

MIB 3D looks interesting and I have vowed to go and watch it in 3D with my son. What about Prometheus?

Verdicts & recommendations please.

Someone should make Heinleins 'The moon is a harsh mistress' into a film. It has everything...politics, technology, sex, and changing social customs.

What reviews I've seen it that it pales by comparison with the Alien movies.

Prometheus is OK not great but it passed an afternoon nothing compared to Alien or Aliens.

We went to see MIB3 last week - it passed a Cheap Ticket Tuesday night Definitely not as good as MIB 1, better than MIB2. Josh Brolin was excellent as a young Tommy Lee Jones though!

We're off to see Prometheus - a lot of reviews aren't rating it, but that could be down to all the hype it's had. It's got to be better than Alien V Predator though. Or even the last 'proper' Alien film.

Well we're off to see MIB today. I'm sure it will be entertaining nonetheless, at least for a bit of escapism.

It isn't... it does have some comical parts, that are supposed to be serious, which are quite entertaining.
