It's amazing how selfish people can be. Not only will they not help, but they will actually impede those who are helping for no reason other than their pursuit of entertainment.

I AM OVER THE MOON!!! It's the simple things ...:o

I was at the local shopping centre earlier and saw a poster for a dog who'd been lost in the floods on Monday, so I took a photo of it and posted it on a Toowoomba FB Flood Page - 2 hours later and I had a response from a bloke who'd been looking after the dog ever since and is currently ringing the owner to reunite them with their dog! I AM STOKED to say the least, saddo eh!!!

Did I mention WOO HOO!?!?!?!?:thumbup::thumbsup::thumbup::thumbsup:

That isn't simple at all. Nor a saddo. This was about unconditional love. You did not walk on by & so you have given more than you know.

Now the political deluge has started........ Bob Brown perhaps the first to break ranks , saying in todays news that the floods were caused by the miners and the super-tax should be applied to make them fund the recovery. "burning fossil fuel causes global warming which caused this flood"

Hopefully this profiteering will be seen the same way that trying to sell milk for 10$ a litre in Ipswich is seen.

They still havent recovered the bodies, the ground is still wet, and this t******r is on the news pushing his own agenda.

Dodgy. I think Abbott already broke ranks saying the NBN should be scrapped to fund the recovery - pushing his own agenda - and he used his visit to flood affected areas in Brisbane to do it.

Brisbane markets are reopening tomorrow morning. Amazing. There will be about 400kg of our avocados there by 5am. We've been picking all weekend after a call pleading for stock from our wholesaler. I am so tired - all the avos were high up and needed picking with the pole fully extended, ie about 4 metres above my head.

Off down the range this morning to see if anyone around Murphys Creek and surrounding areas needs my help for the big cleanup! Kinda apprehensive as I'm going on my own and have no real idea what I'll come across as these areas were some of the worst affected by the 'inland tsunami' as it raged down the range from Toowoomba! Here goes nothing...:o
