He claims to have been filming in Toowoomba on the fateful day the flood came through so that may well have changed his views........

First born was working checkout at Woolies when a woman asked to donate through the till. Daughter asked her how much and she said $2,500  Made my $10 very very paltry but good on her. However another woman wanted to donate $30 and then couldn't afford all her shopping so had to put a load back.

The impact of Queensland's floods is expected to drive up the price of milk, with the crisis estimated to have cost dairy producers more than $50 million.

Adrian Peake from the Queensland Dairyfarmers Organisation says he is negotiating with milk processors and retailers to help subsidise dairy farmers and a price rise is possible.

This may sound harsh but I'm trying to be a realist here. There is a limit to people's charity and if QLD milk becomes too expensive then there becomes a market for importing milk. The same goes for other produce. What happened was terrible but I don't see Australia turning to communism in the aftermath.

In the short term pain will be shared. In a couple of months attitudes will harden, especially as some of those affected will face bankruptcy.

Dairy farmers are furious at plans by supermarket giants Coles and Woolworths to reduce the price of their milk. A two-litre carton of the supermarkets' own-brand milk will be slashed by about a third, to about $2.

But apparently, cutting the price of milk is "ünaustralian" :blink:God give me strength!:blink:

I'm running a book on where he's gonna come ashore now he's done his nice u-turn.
Next ones that form in Aus waters will be Bianca (just named in WA), Carlos, Dianne and Errol  but we've also been watching TC Wilma bowling along nicely from the Fiji direction......now heading for NZ....but all the models are hinting at a system developing in the next few days which will probably head for Queensland somewhere around the first week of Feb......keep your eyes peeled
