That's Gillard being animated ;)

Yes, Bligh has looked very competent - unlike that idiot we have in NSW.

I think Anna Bligh has been inspirational. Gillard is a numpty.

Quite true Matt, we had someone make sandwiches yesterday for 40 hungry Rural Fire Brigade volunteers. Word came down that they copped a load of abuse for leaving Woolies with 6 loaves.
When we're out in the field the provided lunch usually consists of 2 packets of sandwiches per person + a piece of fresh fruit & a drink. Yesterday it was 1 pack & no fruit because there is none lol.
On another note we were all provided with "hand sanitizer" as the risk of disease is a big worry. Everyone had to use it before they ate they even had a bloke monitoring us using it before they handed us our butties lol.
Sunscreen was also provided as between showers the sun was hot as hell.

Sounds like everyone thoroughly earnt their lunch

It's very easy to jump to conclusions and assume the worst of people, even the bogans can be community minded. If your V24 Commodore gets stuck just stick the hazards on and watch 'em flock to your aid :)

I try not to jump to conclusions about people or stereotype people by assuming they looked more like they would own their own shop than they would be using the bread to make sandwiches for the volunteers, but it was 60 ish loaves and they would be pretty dry sandwiches as nothing but bread was bought, no fillings, spread, butter etc.

It is a mark of how the situation has changed in to couple of days that we can joke about it ... I'm keeping the stuff packed for a while yet though ...

Hey, what if it was only Fosters?!
