Just returned home early from a weeks drenched camping at Hervey Bay... The management at the Happy Wanderer Camp site refused to refund any money during a cyclone, even whilst the site was almost completly empty... To55ers.:curse:

No, it was verging on becoming one but never progressed beyond being a Tropical Low.

Going to need armbands as the pool in 6 inches deeper.. Only 1 inch from overflowing.

Still... It was a week of constant pi55ing down rain and having 5 nights left, they could have done the decent thing... I realise we should have just paid on a nightly basis instead of throwing them a wad of money at the start. The camp site never at any stage had punters queing up to get in.

Just one to watch out for folks...

Fridays mega morning from hell never happened and I had a nice morning at Mooloolaba with just drizzle in the background and today Sat looks positively sunny so far.

Last nights rain was heavy heavy heavy... even knocked a big branch off in the garden.

Currently looks like rain increasing towards, and over, the weekend. Ex-cyclone Helen has all but fizzled out now, but I'm sure another one will be along before too long........

It's been really good down here the last two days. Damn humid of course but the flooded bits are drying out well. I'm sure there's another low on it's way. Oo er, as I type we have our first clap of thunder.

Shocking here today 35°C here with 78% humidity, it poured down last night & the mist was so thick it was like a smog at sun up this morning. I was outside tiling & soaked all day with sweat
