Guys are back in again. You would think they had enough on their plates without doing the hokey cokey as well.

Unpredictable stuff, whatever they are paid it isn't enough.
They are also now saying there is damage to the containment on reactor 3, as well as reactor 2. Reactor 3 is the one with the MOX, although there are differing stories about if its actually loaded or not.

Good old BBC News mate. They were show images of steam or smoke billowing from one the reactors and announced that, according to the company involved, that they had withdrawn all their men as it was no longer safe.... then came back 30min later and said the men had gone back in again !

Strange.

I'm looking at the BBC site and they are still running with the staff withdrawn angle.

That's still the headline, the "Live" link is more current.

Site said and as you point out, still says, withdrawn. TV news said withdrawn as well, but then said that the latest report was that the men had returned to the site.

Update : web site now says.

0623: Workers at the Fukushima plant have returned after being evacuated, CNN is quoting Tokyo Electric Power Company as saying.

Yeah, just saw that. Strange that BBC is quoting CNN though.

I've got NHK world streaming live but I don't trust them either

I watched a good segment on the BBC last night. They were talking to a UK nuclear expert. He reckons that given what has happened, and given the extraordinary circumstances that they are working under, that the Japanese had done a good job and were 'managing' the situation well.

The blame game can come later

What would Chuck Norris do?

I'm pretty sure Stephen Seagal would eat the fuel rods.

Bob the Builder would be the best bet, they're going to have to pour shitloads of concrete over these reactors, they may as well stop fannying around with seawater and boric acid and get on with it.
