Sorry about your friends dog, I had 2 cats but we have rehomed them, the little buggers dont miss us at all apparently, which I am happy about really. mind you they could have taken a little bit longer to get over us, I creid for weeks.

Tiddler does have three small frogs as friends though - she has small bowls of water outside one of the screen doors and watches them have baths
OTOH not sure I could kill one when she was watching

I have found 3 in my garden in the last 2 years so I am prepared to put up with them and let them live...They do me no harm and we do not own a pet so no point killing them really, poor little things.
I think even if we had a pet I could not kill the poor little things, how can you all bring yourself to do it?

Contact under the chin or head from in front.
Means no splatter from the poison sacks on the shoulders.
Gives teenagers an excuse to wander the streets at night.
