Dumb as dog shit response from someone with zero experience of living with a plague of killers in the garden. To use your euphemism FFS! Friday I got 18 in an hour tonight I got 9 in 10 mins. I've lived here 2 1/2 yrs and seen one poisonous snake in the garden yet can kill 30 toads in one weekend. Lady I don't think you quite realise the numbers involved here. To freeze them I'd need a chest freezer the size of a small car. Far quicker to crack them under the chin with the 2 wood.

Just saying that maybe you should choose more appropriate subjects to make your comparisons with?
Giving my opinion is what I was doing (which I am entitled to like everyone else)
without actually insulting everybody on the way, like you seem to be doing

.....also, I don't agree with hitting them with golf clubs, and would never dream of doing it myself, but you can't stop others from doing it, or thinking it's the best way, as everyone has their own opinions on the subject.
Cest la vie....
....anyway can't even play crazy golf never mind swing a 5 iron....probably end up doing myself more of an injury than the bloody toad!

I think that clubbing cane toads with a golf club is probably not classed as cruelty (based upon the comments of aspiring cane-toad golfers who have posted here) because if you have a good read of: http://www.agric.wa.gov.au/servlet/...OAD_WELFARE.HTM you will read the following excerpt:
"Cruelty to cane toads is against the law and is punishable by heavy penalties. Only people who are experienced using blunt trauma to kill animals humanely should attempt to kill cane toads using this method. For this method to be humane, cane toads should be knocked unconscious by a single blow to the head, followed by decapitation"
I think that the fine-line between immediate dispatching and cruelty probably exists where a cane toad does or does not not get a driver to the head (respectively). I also believe that the poeple who are using golf-clubs to kill the toad can probably be classified as "experienced" based upon the reported numbers of the little bastards.
Also, I think that it is very true that people who are actually living with this problem are far better qualified and experienced to call judgement on how to get rid of the pest than someone who is living 12,000 miles away in a relatively pest-free zone and who has no actual experience of the problems that the toad can cause.
Bit lonely on this fence.....
