Today we accepted an offer on the house for £15k below our asking price, £5k less than I actually wanted! But hey, it's a first time buyer so no chain and I have good reasons to believe that the sale will hold.

We finished our last of 3 carboot sales last weekend, over the 3 carboot sales we took a couple of quid over £1000, the rest of our "junk" we took to the charity shop and dump-it site while we had it in the trailer. Ebay's ok but still hassle of posting and wrapping etc. At least with the car boot you get to shift everything.

That's very good . I felt unable to handle the thought of strangers rummaging through our belongings and making silly offers on things which we were in any case virtually giving away.
