Dog advice please

A gun is an inanimate object. It doesn't have a brain and won't fire unless a person pulls the trigger.
A dog on the other hand is an animal with a brain and a natural instinct. They can be aggressive, defensive, protective and unpredictable. Dogs can and do bite people without human intervention.

I went to look at some puppies yesterday and am thinking of getting a male and a female from the same litter. They are Staffy's and I wanted to get two so that they would be company for eachother plus the fact that I wouldn't know which to pick if I was to take one.
So I am wondering if two from the same litter will be okay (we will get both desexed I assume) and also is it madness to take on two puppies? I have 4 weeks holidays and would have time to spend with them. After that they would have someone at home for at least 5 days a week.
Any advice would be so welcome as I know there are a lot of dog lovers out there.

We bred from our bitch and ended keeping two from the litter (boy and girl). It was double the trouble but so much fun. They were the best combination of dogs to have. I would recommend it to anyone. Incase you are wondering, they were Jack Russell Terriers and we had 4 of them to keep us occupied. Many years down the track and we still have two of them.
I personnly think the cocky was full of shite and he didnt know what the hell he was missing.
