Loads of rain forecast for Leeds over the weekend - which will favour SA A (aka England) as SA will want to wrap this up and SA A will be happy with a draw.

What are SA A thinking in dropping Swann? He's been such a match winner for them over the last few years.

Big mistake IMO.

An interesting decision for sure ... You would think you'd play a premier spinner whatever the conditions ... SA going well at lunch, England struggling for wickets, Finn knocking them over during his delivery stride but to no avail ...

Hmmmm. Pity about the weather. I hate weather interference in cricket. Spoils the game.

It pains me to report but a battling draw looks like the best result possible for England (and Wales and SA A ).

Headed for a draw thanks to the weather but England managed to get a 1st innings lead so good signs there.

It's a pity as this was shaping up to be a great test.

England overtake Australia to go number 1 in the ODI rankings for the first time ever.

The rankings are meaningless of course but I still report it with some glee

I've never liked FIGJAM - great player, f**kwit of a person.
Well done to the England managment in dropping him as it could not have been an easy decision as, when he fires, he can be a match-winner. They've done the right thing.

You're welcome to him.

Cricket is a team sport and we saw what happened to Australia when they forgot that. Sad loss to test cricket as the innings types you mention happen in tight games. He would have made the dressing room atmosphere poisonous.

Aye, Time to work on bringing someone through that wants to play without the ego issues.

A good team decision.

And to think that not that long ago he was your captain, and if he had kept his mouth shut at the time, might have still been..........

I'm surprised that the England management didn't wait until this series was over. Now they have a massive hole to fill in the middle order in a test that they have to win, against the best attack in the world.
