Of course we would need a plebiscite to decide on the colour.

How about black or white?

From personal experience if you shout 'MOVE BACK OR THE BATON GUN WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU!!' its amazing how responsive the scumbags become

Could depend on the language and dialect used. ;)

I must admit that kind of ignorance here comes as no surprise at all.

Funny that given the most diverse population of the UK and the arrival of thousands of immigrants in all eras.

Really amazed at how little research is put into the news sometimes.

I seem to recall that s1 Riot is a 'found committing' offence - I don't think that method would fly in the UK. I believe that the arrest has to be made at the time of the offence, and not afterwards. I may be wrong - It's been a long time since I looked at anything like this!

One thing I do remember is that Riot is rarely charged, as any damage that is caused during a 'Riot' has to come out of police coffers or something, so more often than not, folk are charged with Violent Disorder instead, so that the police don't have to cop the fees for damage.

I doubt they would get away with that here though...

All the doom and gloom aside, it is good to see communities coming together to help each other clear up and try an fix things. Some quite nice stories coming through of that sort of thing...
