If people haven't been sacked is it because they all do what they are supposed to and no one does anything wrong?

In Aus we get 4 working weeks + public holidays and various days as part of the national employment standards. Hell most Aussies take sick as part of their holiday allowance

of course the Public Service (oxymoron there methinks ) will be going on strike/demo soon over the cuts instead of thinking "I'm lucky I still have a job"

sounds like the munitions workers in Beith, they all had their sickdays allocated in a rota

Sick pay doesn't exist here - you just lose holiday allowance. I'm freelance so certainly would never call in sick.

Here they introduced fairly recently quite a few extra public holidays (called Happy Mondays) to force workers to have a legit break. Good for my OH & other full-timers but bad for me of course.

everyone needs the odd day sure but it drives me nuts when everyone else needs to cover for the slackers, i feel bad even when i am genuinly off ill

first 2 goals inept/offside and Bothroyd should have seen red but realy Leeds had no idea whatsoever. Lots of long balls and when they did get some quality crosses in, no striker

I am now resuming night shift duty, whether I can last all night with only one bottle of cider to keep me company remains to be seen but with two screaming babies in the room opposite there ain't NO chance of sleep
