Re: Comfortably numb......
In Aus we get 4 working weeks + public holidays and various days as part of the national employment standards. Hell most Aussies take sick as part of their holiday allowance

Re: Comfortably numb......
work as hard as required, when required and no overtime for this call sign
of course the Public Service (oxymoron there methinks ) will be going on strike/demo soon over the cuts instead of thinking "I'm lucky I still have a job"
of course most of the time they go on strike no one notices

If people haven't been sacked is it because they all do what they are supposed to and no one does anything wrong?

Here they introduced fairly recently quite a few extra public holidays (called Happy Mondays) to force workers to have a legit break. Good for my OH & other full-timers but bad for me of course.

Sick pay doesn't exist here - you just lose holiday allowance. I'm freelance so certainly would never call in sick.

This one is for Soapy.......just to say that in spite of some outrageous teasing by his mates over here, Bernie is still proudly carrying a manbag!

oh dear 4-0
first 2 goals inept/offside and Bothroyd should have seen red but realy Leeds had no idea whatsoever. Lots of long balls and when they did get some quality crosses in, no striker
Bellamy still a twat though

Sh*te game, now in a sh*te hotel, Bernie has vanished into the mists of time and isn't answering his phone (no surprises there then!). If anyone hears from him could they tell him I am actually OK and I'll see him next time I'm here
I am now resuming night shift duty, whether I can last all night with only one bottle of cider to keep me company remains to be seen but with two screaming babies in the room opposite there ain't NO chance of sleep

Actually, if those babies don't shut up fast I will pour this cider down their necks in desperation. I'm out of here at first light, if anyone knows a baby free hotel in the seedy end of Kings Cross, preferably with something resembling a bathroom, PLEASE tell me where it is.
