I love how they describe the hare ... with blood and port sauce. Of course, most gravy is made from the blood and juices which come out of the meat when it's cooking.
There are recipes for squirrels on the internet.

true, but I suppose a lot of people don't make gravy like that anymore.

can't imagine eating squirrel but it was a big thing years ago

Ah...much better - thanks for the pic. Although both my mom and grandmother are from Ireland and talk about it, I just couldnt picture it!
