Just checked:
Melbourne
Humidity ranges from 46 - 54%
Number of Rain days over this period = 56
Hobart
Humidity ranges from 61 - 72%
Number of Rain days over this period = 65
One other stat that some people might find helpfull when choosing is the mean temp over this 6 month period. (taken at 3pm)
Perth = 27C
Cairns = 29C
Brisbane=26C
Sydney=22.3C
Melbourne=22C
Hobart= 18.5C

I voted Brisbane, because that's where I'm from, so it'll make it easier to move in with my parents for a couple of weeks.. but we're aiming for New England Tablelands/Border Ranges area....
As much as I like Brisbane, I've really gone 'off' big cities....

I am waiting for a work related phonecall that will let me know if I am available to use my, currently only reserved, seat on a JAL flight to Brisbane next Tuesday.
We have found it really interesting reading everyone's posts and are now seriously considering Brisbane as an option. Hopefully I will get to spend 5 whole (wow) days there next week to help us make up our minds.
Unfortunatley 'er indoors won't be able to join me so I would be going on my own.
The best thing is that on the return flight I would be overnighting in Tokyo and would get a chance to practice my appallingly bad Japanese!
Fingers crossed please.

We're off to Melbourne, we've never been before, but will be flighing there for a validation visit on Saturday for 2 weeks!
The wife used to live in Brisbane but wants to go to Monash Uni and I think I'm more likely to get a job in Melb. and it sounds like a nice place. We shall see soon.

Perth. It`s where I`m from and where my wife`s family moved to (from S`ton) years ago. GOING BACK HOME. If I had my choice though it`d be somewhere near Melbourne (better weather... not hot hot hot) or Sydney (more going on, better job prospects for me).
But another baby is on the way, so it`s back to the fold we go.
