Wow good luck for your Citizenship! Our 2 years comes up in October, we'll be going for ours then.

I have some more news on the twins front, I had my 20 week scan on friday and the doc is 90% sure that I'm having identical girls. We are over the moon. at the moment one is head up and one is head down, so if the one head up doesn't swing round, it looks like I'll have to have a c- section.
oh good glad you got some rain too it was a shame here despite desperatley needing the rain a local guy launched his boat on Sat, had caterers in etc and it absolutely peed it down!! still had a good time

Hi

There has been some rain in the last 48 hours! We had an amzing downpour over several hours on Saturday, with lots of thunder and lightning, a real shame as Izzy was at a beach birthday party on South Bruny, they were almost washed away!

Then it rained pretty much non stop overnight, was lovely yesterday morning for the Kids Triathlon on the beach at Blackmans Bay, the children did really well, especially for the swim as the sea was pretty chilly! And since then we have had lots of showers, our new lawn is getting well and truly watered!!

Two job interviews over the last few days, job offer from the first one and waiting to hear back on the second.

Sam

to the other Taswegians, how's the weather been down south of the island? jeez we've had some rain here over last few days hope you've had some where you need it

Hi Possums thanks for the website link, i'll have a look on there later... I see it's got a bit of info on quite a few things so will be interesting to have a read so thanks for that.

Great news about your citizenship test now being booked! Better start revising!

Sorry to hear you guys have had loads of rain, but i guess in some places it's really needed... The weather's been great here over the weekend and today - actually quite warm in the sun - mean't to be 17degrees in places today

I'm just catching up today with housework/washing etc after a very hectic weekend with Eden's 6th birthday, her party and my 25 hour trip to join friends at Butlins in Bognor Regis!!! I'm knackered today and very glad i'm not back to work till tomorrow afternoon!

Hi Kerry, hope you're feeling well ? I imagine that bump of yours isn't quite so little now! nice to hear it's getting greener where you are after it having been so dry. I imagine you appreciate the rain where you are.
I still cant believe you'd have been out in Tas for two years this year, but then it does seem a long time ago since we met up around your place in Moonah!
I imagine the babies are comfortable in the position they're in - both of my two didn't turn around until just before i had them even though Jared liked to twist round every now and then - even with my excess blubber we could still see alien like movements going on around my tummy area! i had to have an emergency c-section with Eden and also had a c-section with Jared, but honestly there's nothing to worry about if you have to have one as long as you take it easy for the time you're told to afterwards...from some of the labour horror stories i've heard from friends i dont feel i missed out

Hope you're starting to think of names (or did you have some idea's already?)

Hi Sam, hope you had a good weekend? Sorry to hear the rain affected Izzy's South Bruny party. What did they do during the party? was it actually on the beach? Were both the kids in the Triathlon - do all the years at their school participate? (sorry about all the questions but you all know what i'm like by now ha ha) I really like the sound of all these outdoor activities that seem to go on in Tas - much more outdoorsy than the school stuff planned over here - the only "outdoor" event we have is the yearly sports day!
Eden's school is trying to be pro-active in getting the kids more exercise etc - she'd already been doing yoga after school classes, but they've now introduced after school football lessons and tennis lessons - all at really reasonable costs. I think that extra 45-60mins after school doing some kind of sport does make all the difference - especially with the UK weather limiting us sometimes as to what the kids can do once home.

Hope you hear back about today's interview soon... Hope it went well (i'm sure it did! ).

oh, i nearly forgot - we are giving our current estate agent 14 days written notice this week - they've been terrible (and have lied to us). The office where we signed up - in our own local area has closed down - and the staff have all moved to a different area (about 15mins drive from where we live). This is a big estate agents - one of the well known ones - so they're obviously struggling to keep their shops open as well! Anyway, they told us that although the guy was moving that was handling our sale - the rest of the shop would stay open iro lettings etc and any enquiries about sales - and when we went up there recently - the actual shop is completely empty! So we're going to give notice and go with another local agent... Hopefully now the weather's really picking up over here we'll get a few more viewers. Even though we weren't about the weekend we didnt have any viewers ask to see the house...

Cathy

Hi Possums you'll have to test each other with stuff from the book
Is a lot of it stuff that people would generally know anyway? I dont really know much about Australian History / politics so i'd probably HAVE to read the book!

Eden had a great birthday & party thanks. After all the stress and organising it all went really well! Not sure i'll do the same kind of thing next year though i made the mistake of adding up the cost of the hall, entertainer, food & party bags and thought yikes! Hopefully we'll be in Oz though next year so at least the weather should be better for an outdoors March birthday over there!
Bognor was good thanks altho my trip was cut short because of Andy starting a new job this week in Kensington so he had to be there early Monday morning...But it was good and yes i did have a teeny weeny hangover but i think eating a massive kebab in the early hours Sunday morning must have soaked up some of the booze! It was a Soul/Motown weekend (which isn't my kind of music normally) but it was very good - and we had a George Benson tribute act, a guy from the Drifters, a Stevie Wonder & Supremes tribute act etc... It was good fun. I had a preconcieved idea of Butlins and was pleasantly surprised by how much there is at Bognor and how nice some of the accomodation actually is nowadays..

Just a general question, you mentioned the other week that prices for properties were coming down over there.... I was looking on a different website to realestate.com.au yesterday - domain.co.au - and it did look to me that prices are coming down. So with regards to the 2 prices that are often shown on properties - am i right in thinking that the 1st price is what the estate agent values the house at and the top price is what the seller is hoping to achieve? I cant remember if i heard that on a TV programme once or whether i've read it on here!!!

Hope the weather's been good to you all today! The sun has got his hat on today over here - hip hip hooray!

wow sounds like every little girls dream party weather is great now still very warm so yep you should be outdoors next year.. as long as it isnt like Sat gawd the rain!!

I always fancied one of those butlin weekends, always look really cheesy but I have mates who said they are great. besides Butlins just conjours up such a bygone era

it makes absolutely no sense to me but apparantly its called a price range (with the bottom price being one that is acceptable to the vendor)

after googling I found that In using a price range, the upper figure cannot exceed 110% of the lower figure. For example $500,000-$550,000 or $250,000-$275,000.

I hear the weather is really nice over there at the mo

HI most just seem to do beachy things and never move from the campsite! swim, fish, walk along the wildflower track, nice cafes, good chippy and the Bay Inn does good meals. Are you bringing Hollie?

we've just been invited to a house warming in Lillydale sat night, could have swapped houses
