Just keep a few Daddy-long-leg spiders about to eat the other nasty ones.
You'll be right! LOL.

HI all, Where we live we seem to get Huntsman but they seem to come in batches, Don't see any for ages then get a couple in a few days. I usually try to catch them but some can be really tricky and I have to spray them, The only problem is you need a bit of spray on them at first they just look at you and say hey whats that your spraying on me and just laugh at you!!!! They are tough things, I would say they are the SAS of the spider world.
Here is a picture of one I caught he was only a small one!!!!
Also here is a picture of me at Ulverstone, This area was a tribute to the sailers who lost there life in the war. Really nice little are with wood fired BBQ's.
And to add to the pictures of Wombats this is me and Wizzard the wombat at the same wildlife park!!! Don't Wombats look cool with glasses on!!!!
Anyway I best get off to work and earn some more money!!! Take care everyone and have a lovely day.

We'd better stop showing the spider pics - otherwise Beth wont be happy!
Love the pic of you pointing out Tas on the globe!
Looks like you've perfected the way to hold a baby already judging by the way you're holding old Wizzard in that picture!

If its at the wildlife park me and Vikky went to near Mole creek(Make sure the kids don't read this!!!) they feed the Tassie Devils on Wallaby. Here is a picture of one of the cute little things!!!
Wizzard was a big heavy thing and at the back they have a plate like bone structure which if a car hits at speed can turn the car over.

I wouldnt say that he looks like a friendly little chap! Their teeth are quite big aren't they? My daughter bought a soft toy Tassie Devil in Hobart last year - and takes it to bed with her. She thinks hers is very cute - i dont think she'd think the same when she eventually see's some devils in the flesh - especially if they're bearing their teeth like that! What kind of noise do they make? do they snarl/growl etc?

Right, is it safe to come back in?
Have all the spiders gone

Cute roo Ian and Helena - do they do any damage to your garden other than eating the grass!

Noisy little Tas devils when they eat, we saw some at the Cleland Park, near Adelaide, and they fight and scream for the food, you'd certainly know if you some in the bush near your home, although I believe they are becoming endangered because of the facial disease they have.

Hi Beth,
Me and Vikky had a joke about one of the huntsman we had in the house we said If I would of chucked something at it, It would of grabbed it and thrown it back at me, And we also said that it would be outside tapping on window to get back in!!!!
You do get used to them and how to handle them! Now I have a old CD spoll cover and use that to catch them. They do good by eating flies. We also get little scorpions in the house every now and then, Again try to catch them and chuck them out.
You will love it Beth, only problem at moment is a burning smell due to Bushfires over here. All of Launceston can smell it.
Take care
Gary Vikky and Bump
