Hi
Hopefully you will be OK
However, technically HMRC can reach any person living in a country which has a DTA- Double Taxation Treaty with the UK (like Australia). A list of coutries with DTAs is on HMRC website.
As to whether HMRC would pursue you would be more a matter of:
1 Quantum and
2 Whether you are a high profile person
For eg HMRC went for Lestor Piggott because of his profile and then saw a remarkable adherance to tax rules (and thereby receipts) from the sporting community.

DTAs are for relief of double taxation, not for the pursuit of tax evaders. The only relevant part of a DTA for me is the agreement between tax authorities to exchange information. That could only impact me if I didn't declare my 'extra' income on my US tax return.
BTW, I know Lester Piggott. I used to live near him in Newmarket. He told me that the thing that really nailed him was the VAT evasion, not the tax evasion. At the time, H.M. Customs & Excise had far greater powers than the Inland Revenue to pursue criminal prosecutions.
