Snappy those pics have taken my breath away  just beautiful :)
Are you staying put there now? We are building a house here, initially as an investment but now as a home and we have decided to give it 2 years at least up here before we move on again. By then we should be in a better situation financially to do what we want to do. |

I'l never say we will stay here forever as there is still so much to see and do here. I still want to travel around the whole of Oz but money, time and kids just need to all fit together to allow it to happen.

Well just thought I would jump on the bandwagon as I'd noticed that threads for other parts of OZ were popping up and I was feeling all excluded:(
Only Joking  Anyway there is myself, hubby and 2 children boy-10 and girl-4. Once we have our visa we hope to live within 30-40 mins of Brisbane CBD! Have researched Redcliffe, Northlakes, Coomera, Upper Coomera but will make no decisions untill we are out there and have had a chance to look properly. We sent our app in Jan so are just playing the waiting game. We def plan to be over by next Jan but not 100% sure of when yet. Andrea:) xx |
Re: The Official Queensland Thread
Just want to put in my 2cents worth.
Try and rent first, especially if you haven't been here before. We've been 3 times before and changed our minds on where we wanted to live each time:confused: The Idea of living on acreage seems a great idea, but I think living in an community like Pac. Pine or coomera waters helps as you get to make friends quicker especially for the kids, unless you like the quiet life. People who haven't made friends tend to look at the negative things as they get lonely and may end up going back. Look a round as much as possible, realestate.com has some great house's which look real good value for money, but they may not be in an area that you would want to live in. Go by what you want from your area as people have different reasons for living where they do. Hope this helps. Suni |

Re: The Official Queensland Thread
Hi guys, well thats our flights booked. Leave on Thursday 26th April. Arrive Brisbane Friday 27th. Still at times find it unbelievable but as things move along I guess it will finally feel real. Seems like there is so much to do before then. I handed my notice in at work last week, sad after 28 years:( Excited and scared at the same time but every now and then find myself quietly smiling. Better get packing!!!
