Think Cairns would have been my second choice, quieter than Bris but had that certain something... my hubby has been to Darwin, I haven't, he felt he'd never survive the heat too much like Singapore sweat box, no offense to those who live there he was talking about his personal melt down.
i think around brissie/GC will be the best for us at the mo' - but we're always up for a challenge - mind you we all are on this site!!! whether its going somewhere else in the world - giving up all we have here or deciding it isn't the right choice and coming back! |

We would love to live somewhere like Mission Beach we stayed there on our trip from Brisbane to Cairns but not much IT work up there. However our plan B (if we don't get a job in Brisbane) is to live on the coast and see if we can scratch out a living.
Check out the government webpage for jobs in IT as they have some good jobs listed and it also shows you the rate of pay. http://www.jobs.qld.gov.au/search/occlist.asp |

With mountain creek being an intense area for kids, I am presuming tons of people commute from there, so am keeping fingers crossed can find something. we arent going to rush into work though, just want to check our lads settle into school and the area first. x
what is it you do??? Children 15 and 12. Hard to make definate plans really until we are there and visit areas. Sunshine coast still top of the list though!!! How old are your kids? Jx |
