As this is so similar to your previous thread I have merged the two together - saves everyone repeating themselves ;)

2. High taxes UK Tax & NI is about the same as Australian Tax and Medicare, for an average wage
3. Expensive fuel, vehicles and electronics UK Petrol is more expensive then Australian petrol, same as Electricity costs, and new cars, both cheaper in Australia.
4. Expensive real-estate Size for size UK houses are more expensive than Australian houses
5. Shopping not as good depends on what and where you buy
6. Overall, not good value for money That depends on what and where you buy
7. Difficult to find jobs Unemployment rate Australia 4.4% and UK 6.1%
8. Companies are run by accountants (dickheads) All over the world
9. Parking nightmares (specific to Sydney)and London I reckon)
10. Far side of the world (flight time sucks) I agree, Britain to Fiji and other Pacific island holidays do take a while from the UK

It can vary, but England isn't that bad ;)

I was not comparing it with the UK (it will be apparent if you look at the list of positives). I wanted to make the point that people migrate for different reasons and perspectives can vary widely depending on someone's current situation/location. It is not my intention to degrade any particular country.

9. You (and the rest of the world) will never have heard of any of their heros which they keep carping-on about in the media/TV

This part made me laugh. I occasionally read BBC (news) website and have no idea who the co called 'well known' people are, who are hitting the UK headlines. More often than not it is some Z lister, who has come to light in the last couple of years...

I know, I was going to merge them, but by the time I finished reading his rant against the experiences of other migrants I realised I had too small a brain to care......;)

I started merging them when the site went down for maintenance. By the time I got back online I didn't care any more either. I know what my experience has been, so c'est la vie as they say.
