More likely to get it yes but the UK has more deaths per capita from skin cancer annually than here. Personally, Id rather not get it at all which is why I slip slap slop!

Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world, with over 380,000 people diagnosed every year.
Deaths from Skin Cancer
Australia = 1,678 deaths from 380,000 + reported cases : 4.4 per 1,000
UK = 2,300+ deaths from 72,000 + reported cases : 31.9 per 1,000
From Abc, he is usually pretty accurate

[...or do you think only 380,000 people live in Australia, and 72,000 people live in the UK?]

We've discussed these numbers before.
But per capita that would be:
UK: 0.0378 deaths per 1000 in the general population (based on 61m)
Aus: 0.0763 deaths per 1000 in the general population (based on 22m)
Aus more than twice as high as UK...because so many people do get it!

We all die so the %'s don't really matter as you can't make 100% sure you're in any percentage.

According to the lists here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._by_death_rate
the death rate (deaths/1000 persons) in the United Kingdom (of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is 9.9 or 10.02 whereas it is 7.1 or 6.74 in Australia.
Looks like few own up to being dead in the United Arab Emirates.

But per capita around twice as many people die of skin cancer in OZ then the UK.

Wrong OZ is ideal for people who prefer metropilii, 90% of AUssies live in suburbia in large cities, many have never even been to the outback and on holidays most prefer to go to coastal resort areas rather then the bush or inland. Very few Aussies live in remote areas. No one lives in the remote outback except for a small number of Aboriginals, cattle farmers and miners.

BTW, there is no such word as 'metropolii'. The plural of 'metropolis' is 'metropolises' or 'metropoleis'.
