Australia is one of the most urbanised countries in the world. Very few people live in 'wilderness'.

I take it you don't understand the difference?

Had you said that Australians are the most urbanized people then I would have still toyed with you.
I think you will find that the Dutch, English and Singaporeans are right near the top of the most urbanized peoples and Australia is a more distant also-ran.

According to the link you posted the Uk and Australia are pretty much the same as each other, and Holland is less urbanised.

Even Wagga Wagga, anywhere but bloody Perth. Seriously, the most boring place I have been to in the world, and it must be something in the water, but the locals are seriously messed up.
Just my opinion of course

Hi
I've been browsing this forum a lot recently and I have to say that most posts are very negative about Australia or moving there (bad manners, expensive, too hot, noone outdoors etc).
So I wonder: are there any people, who are actually happy with their decision to move to Australia (from the UK)?

So in other words, no you don't understand the difference between population density and urbanization (sic).
According to the link you posted the Uk and Australia are pretty much the same as each other, and Holland is less urbanised.

"describes the percentage of the total population living in urban areas, as defined by the country."
I've travelled fairly widely in Holland (some time ago it is true) and can tell you that very, very few live outside urban areas; including farmers. So I say the Dutch must have a quite different definition of what living in an urban area means to what Australia and Australians take it to mean.
My point is that if one prefers metropolii then there are plenty, possibly an over abundance, in countries other than Australia. Such a one would possibly be spoiled for choice elsewhere and see Australia's paucity of choice, in their eyes, as a negative.
