Re: living in perth
Hi, I currently live in SOuth Wales (a place called Cimla) and to be honest its Crime free. I havent heard of a burglery, any crime in the three yrs ive been here, i sometimes leva emy garage door open all night and nothing, its dead quiet, and safe. And im looking to emigtrate to Perth and i was expecting an even safer and less crime place :o am i wrong?? im getting a little worried.
I know some posts say you get crime everywhere, but no you dont, a lot of areas are crime free, where i live theres no gangs, drugs, car crime, anything. IM not saying other places in NEath arent cuz i know there are. I guess all i want is to have this crime free feeling in Perth, or lat least where i live in Perth. Can i?? :scared: |

Re: living in perth
Here's a thought.....insurers tend to know the real risks better than anyone.
Are there any people living in Australia who can post their contents insurance premium and city and insured value? |

Are there any people living in Australia who can post their contents insurance premium and city and insured value? For $30,000 (that's an estimate...) Perth Doesn't seem to be many house burglaries in this area, more car burglaries. The other month we got a flyer from the police warning about it and giving tips. |

Renth has posted plenty in the past about what he loves, like camping, the bibbulman track, and this is just the stuff I remember. |

Re: living in perth
I lost my wallet two weeks ago down at Hillarys whilst on our validation trip...
Loads of pictures of me with the kids in it, cards, etc etc... No one handed it in... Very dishonest race the Aussies altho' it's likely a Pom picked it up !!! May have had something to do with the fact there was 600 bucks in there. Speaking to the Brummie police officer on the phone, he informed me the areas to avoid in the Northern Burbs were Craigie and Padbury...LOTS of burglaries - His words. Three Legs  |

Try reading the Australian news: www.NEWS.com.au You will find very similar things to what you read in the UK. G |
Re: living in perth
My in-laws in Beckenham (Perth) have had their home burgled quite a few times, more by petty thieves (in these cases aboriginal) after cash and jewellery. One time the in-laws were in the lounge room and the thieves went through the bedroom window (it was open).
The Police found out who did it but couldn`t (or didn`t want to) do anymore, as it was Aboriginal kids. |
