Maybe change agents or take part of the workshop down to make it look better. Dont know yet to be honest our heads are sheds with the whole thing, been on this rollercoaster since mar 2004. First the TRA then STNI then Meds Visa app etc then house :scared: anyhoo got the visas now so gonna chill a bit, yeah wanna be over there but realistically theres no rush.

Also we have been advised to wait for start of new tax year to emigrate as it can save you some dosh?? So thats 5 months off.

Oh I dont know Jac just dont know

basically if you work into next tax yr you get your full years tax allowance even if you are not working/in UK for all of it.

So say you work 2 months into the tax year earning £5k (assuming you have the full personal allowance of around £5k) your earnings are covered by the allowance and you have no (income) tax liability. Your payroll will have deducted tax as it assumes you will continue to earn £2.5k per mth for the rest if the yr, thus you will be owed some money back from HMRC

madam btw
depends - we have waited around long enough and things are still on track for moving out of house in Feb and it would be too much hassle to rent etc just to make use of next tax yr allowance.
If timing works out it can be useful to earn £5k tax free or bit more with v little tax, and how desperate you are for the money. But the later could mean there is always something on the horizon to stay for.
