People are not stupid. They know it can go wrong. Although it's good to tell them, don't pretend to be martyrs for offering a helping hand.

That's all I was saying:)

Would you like to point out exactly where on this thread anyone has behaved like a "bleedin martyr"? and who helps out for self gain or to become a member of a "clique". I have heard you bang on about cliques before but not found one yet - can you point me in the right direction please

Re: helping each other

We ve had people stay with us for a few weeks when they first arrived, for no personal gain to ourselves other than the self satisfaction that we ve helped someone, whos in the same boat as we ve been in, and wanting them to not feel like their on their own  some of these people now we dont see very much of,because we all have our own lives, and maybe we dont have a huge amount in common other than being expats, but that doesnt mean we dont like them or they dont like us,and we both know that if one of us needed help we d be there for each other, isnt that what lifes about really

What about for the folks coming over for their reccies? Why dont they submit their details ie:
Where Perth, Brissie, Melbourne, Adelaide etc.
Details of party - kids y/n, type of work sort, interests
Even a list of fellow BE they would like to catch up with?

If BE members are around and can help with any questions????
