Have you had a speeding ticket since you came to Aus?
If yes, then how long was it before you got the ticket?
If no, how long have you been here?
For me, it's no and I've been here 4 years.

3 to 4 Months, I don't think it is as long now as some of the backlog has been cleared. (Perth by the way)
Been here 3 years but got a ticket after 2 doing 97k on a 90k dual carriageway
The politicians say it "saves lives" but it is just to make money as most cameras are not at accident blackspots but on straight stretches of road.

Ive been here about six months, been breath tested twice (not touched a drop either times) and was could speeding up in the north west. The nice lady police officer breath tested me, (surprise surprise) when i passed she told me to keep my speed down in the future and told me to be on my way.
Have kept within the speed limit since. Treated it as a welcome to Australia warning.
Lucky John.

Got one speeding ticket from a camera in Batemans Bay. Was doing 68 in a 60 (not a built up area). Had my TomTom switched off that day and so didn't get my little warning beeps that a camera was ahead. Took about three months to come through if memory serves.

I can see that the Yes question is ambiguous. I was just wondering how long since arrival you got caught rather than how long it took to process.

Husband got one first week of being here.
13ks over the speedlimit. Must've been that just arrived adjustment factor
Anyway, it's not big and it's not clever! And it's expensive

No, been here 2 years and no ticket. Been flashed twice, but no ticket. This was over a year ago.

Most of the car accidents I've attended (as a volunteer firee) have been on straight stretches of road. I think in most cases they lose control when they accidentally wander onto the soft verge.
Uncontrolled junctions are the other common places for accidents. This is more likely to be a care and attention problem rather than speeding.

I hadn't really thought about this before now.

Hi got one 5 months after arriving in Oz. Not sure by what mode I was caught, but was doing 72 in a 60 zone.
