I am an English migrant. I have friends who retired out here 4 years ago. No children living here, just came out here on a retirement visa.
All they do is complain that the UK is much better than here. The British Health service is better, food cheaper, beaurocracy more friendly, children better behaved in the Uk etc. etc. You name it they will criticise it.
I have asked them why they are here and if they feel that way why don't they go back. They are not friends any longer.
It's that attitude that offends Australians. Why stay if it is so bad???? Very puzzling.

The sweat from the brow of folk from Latvia to Greece,Malta to Poland and numerous countries in between contributed enormously towards this nations development, often in hard and very basic conditions, while often enduring abuse owing to their ethnic origins.

Lets have a name then?
Actually forget it... you've had time to look it up on Google... and I'm bored anyway.
Here.. pick a name from this lot and tell us he's your Grandfather. We'll believe you.. honest.

This is at odds with the family history which places him on this list:

Given that the compiler of the lists can not be certain which list Solley goes on, I'm inclined to believe the family historian who visited Kent to see the records there in person. (Such visits are not considered un-Australian due to being strictly for business and no pleasure is derived therefrom).
Unfortunately it scotches the possibility of his being a convict, at least a transported one.

You can't spell and it is starting to become really annoying - are you some angry young teen posting in the disguise of an adult with a learning disability?

As Aunt Peg said when she filmed her first feature with John Holmes 'holy shit what a cock'

This site is very primitive and does not have as-you-type spell checking. State of the art British technology I'd imagine.

Perhaps there is some use in chatting with youse ethnos. Who ever drew up the passenger lists for the Royal Admiral placed my ancestor on the 1840/Dec/13 passenger list:

This is at odds with the family history which places him on this list:
