Currently work for A-Plant: contracted hours 08:00-17:30 and one Saturday in 5 (in breach of the 1993 Working Time Directive, but nobody seems to care). No overtime pay under any circumstances, and no pay at all for working beyond my contracted hours. Half hour lunch break (no other breaks permitted) and 4 weeks holiday a year (which is OK, but hardly generous).

The repeats of WDU in the early hours are signed for the deaf so you get some bloke signing in the corner of the screen, just thought i'd let everyone know.

Ooh it's on See Hear then - I love See Hear although my sign language is so rusty I get frustrated with myself for not keeping it up.

Ok all, sorry about this - the info I need is probably somewhere in the previous 9000 pages of this thread.
I'm looking for a copy of the WDU episode featuring a family looking at Adelaide and the guy was a salesman. He went for an interview with an appliance co. and visited a showroom called Jag Kitchens.
A bottle of the finest JP Chenet to anyone who can steer me in the right direction.
Thanks

Nadia Sawalha presents a series in which British families are given a look at
life in Australia ahead of possible migration. The Ashton family are looking
for a fresh start after a difficult few years. They have one week to test the
lifestyle in Adelaide before choosing whether to emigrate or not, but they soon
discover the decision isn't as easy as they might have thought.
Pretty sure that's the one... You can grab it off UKNova...

Think the Ashtons were the family where the guy was a cable installer and ended up trying "covert operations"
The Booton? Buton? family were the family that the guy was at JAG Kitchens.
(I`m not so sad that I remember it....but I am so sad I`ve labelled it on my dvds
)

I'm really puzzled as to what your problem is Arkon! So they are plugging the TV show - so what! Not that they needed to as previous experience has shown any show like that gets lots of threads. They've all joined the site and are contributing to it. I'd rather that than blatant spammy adverts.
If you don't like the thread, then don't read it!
Similar threads in the past - which might make interesting reading for newcomers to the site - include anything by Debreeve, who was on a previous show, still posts sometimes, and lives on the Sunshine Coast, especially http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=289850
