hi,
i have already posed a seperate thread for this question but we are in the middle of filling in a form so thought i'd try you guys aswell.

dont know if you can help, but my OH is applying for a job in Oz.
the application is asking for his visa number, we have got the passports down and there are several different numbers on it......does anyone know which one is the correct one.

also looked at the visa grant letter and that just states our file ref no, and another ref no?

can anyone advise?

thanks
lisa

Thanks for all the congratulations.

Congratulations to those of you who have also had visa grants.

I have had a weekend of celebrating and still don't think that it has sunk in.

Good luck to those waiting. This week will be a good week.

Mandy :D

Hi folks, haven't been on much, so a big congrats to all who got their visa

Hi Matt, sorry to hear you have encountered another barrier. I had a real problem going to an ex boss for a much needed reference, but when i saw how much it mean't to me to get my family to Oz, i had to rise above my pride and go get it. In the end it wasn't that bad. He was abit smug, but i rose above that aswell, and got what i needed. Whatever you are feeling at the moment, go with your heart.

Best of luck :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Brendan

just had a bit of a wobbley :eek:

nearly decided to go and validate on wenesday (this week )

was chatting to OH in the kitchen, saying with the housing market like it is.....not knowing when we will be able to move over there.......OH starting a new job 12 may.....having to validate in october..........

started thinking OMG when will we be able to validate, how can OH tell new job that he has a holiday booked, yet we dont know the dates (obviously depends if we've sold the house or not as to when we will actually go, if we havent we need to validate aug/sept, but cant make that decision until nearer the time.)

then thought, he has just over 2 weeks before his new job starts, could we go this week

looked on tinternet at fights, really cheap if you book the same week (obviously) £2400 ish RETURN for 4 of us!!!! infact BA were cheaper at £1700 for the four of us, but that didnt include taxes.

then reality started to hit.........how the hell can i organise this in 2 days, we have nowhere to stay, not many suitable clothes, pack, get hair cut, sort money out, car rental, tidy house incase we have a viewing when we're away, and more importantly.............how the hell can i loose a stone in 2 days

just wish we'd have thought of this last week
have i finally gone mad :o

lisa
