look there is crime and criminals in adelaide but compared to the rest of the world they are pussy cats and most of the trouble is between other people who like trouble. i feel really safe here. and i have been here ten years

All the OP was doing was highlighting recent events in Hallet cove......a problem that has gone on for a long time.

Where people choose to live is their own choice but why pretend that everything is OK when it is not?

My son experienced more crime when he lived in Adelaide than he ever did in the UK.

and if that was the report in a uk paper it would have read. Asian youths, killed two in pub, by beating them to death.
And again it does not affect the normal family living.

My point being. There are not gangs of youths waiting on st corners, or outside shops, in huddies ready to stamp on the nearest mans head, for a joke.

If there is gangs such as the HC, they are nothing more than a few teenagers, that crashed a party, that hit another teenager, for the police to be called to stop it.
Its In the paper as there is nothing else to report.

This thread is not about the UK

....it is about Adelaide, so what happens in the UK is irrelevant.

There is even a thread running about Hallet Cove on Adbrits..a site that usually avoids any negative stuff....and that thread was started by the owner so there is obviously some concern.

FWIW I have never experienced any crime or bother where I live.....so does that mean there is none?

My son feels much safer now that he has returned to Brisbane....and he was living with an Adelaide policewoman.

This is not about UK, its about H/C, you are right.
But when someone posts about a one of incident. It gives other,s the wrong impression.
The uk has far more violent crime than Adelaide, and if some one is Leaving the uk for a new life in Adelaide with that being a main factor. the post was miss leading. As Adelaide is not Normally known for a day to day running of violent crime's or gangs.
Adelaide is a safe place in that respect.

As I said earlier I was told about the problems in HC and Christie beach a few years ago....by a police officer..

The OP on this thread was raising this issue.....only to get shot down.

Surely people should also have this type of information and not simply the 'fluffy' bits.

....and where I live in the UK does not have more violent crime than Adelaide.....that is a silly generalisation.
