as for hallett cove i didnt know that all the brits head here i feel in love with the house with a great veiw off the sea

as for the kids their to young to be out on there own,and i hope my kids know better when there older

i believe that australia offers more for kids than the uk and feel that adelaide is alot better than the west midlands, i beleive that there will always be problems where ever you live, i just dont choose to dwell on them.

Adelaide is great i agree...but as all local will tell you avoid the Northern and Southern Suburbs... full of gangs and crime...police and teachers will back that up... look to the leafy suburbs and make your life better for you and your kids....just a shame people on here advise people to move to Hallett Cove when they migrate!!!

The point im making that is if you live in most parts of the UK you are less likely to be a victim of crime than in Adelaide. Even the per capita murder rate is higher than that of London... although i agree it is unlikely you will be murdered. Street crime is rife.. break ins and gun crime is high... the local underwolrd call it the city of sin not the city of churches.... i know i study and reasearch criminology.

Just be careful where you chose to live!!! It makes the difference between a seuccessful migration and not.

Search national statistics on crime for Uk and Adelaided etc... you will see what i mean....your all living in oblivion or utopia.

To be fair, I expect crime to happen. It's a fact of life. I know a few people who have lived in Hallet Cove for a number of years, and haven't been driven away by this high crime rate you speak of.

If it was that bad, they and all the other residents wouldn't still be there. Unless perhaps, some of my relatives are secretly members of the HCE?!?!

I'm a member of the Green Street Elite, because I've watched the movie, so nothing worries me...
