You use the books on the Kindle as collateral, and borrow against it. Maybe go public if you have enough Kindles. Or move your library to an oil rig declare independence, pass a law stating yourself as author of all books and claim royalties in court. The possibilities are endless.

I was thinking 'Buffy the vampire slayer'
In the cast of characters, there is a British librarian named Giles, who is the 'watcher' (mentor and trainer) of an American teenage vampire slayer. I have always suspected that you, Robin, are the new watcher for some unknown to us, new slayer.
In the BE member/picture thread, I did try to find a suitable photo of Giles to represent you, but I did not find just the right pic.
