My parents are coming over in February, heading to NZ first. Their flight from NZ has changed (it's actually with Jetstar not Qantas, but flight changes seems current on this thread). Their original arrival time into Melbourne was 5.15pm, it's now 10.55pm - so changes can be significant some times.

What's the best phone number to get Qantas on? I sat on hold for over 20 mins last night then gave up, on the 131313 number. I still can't view my booking online since they sent the 'We have made changes to your booking' email a week ago, not sure what to do!?

Unless people are getting some sort of incredible deal why is anyone still choosing to fly Qantas over Singapore for instance ? I really don't get it, to me there is no contest.

2. QFF points (yes you can accrue/redeem points for SIA too - but not as easily to accrue in Australia)

We have found SIA to be cheaper to be honest.

We've flown several times over the last few years and have always ended up flying Qantas due to Singapore always being at least 20% more expensive. In fairness this could just be down to when we have travelled.

I'm not sure they're 'top' of anyones list - but they are often* the cheapest option flying point-point and if you factor in QFF benefits they can be the cheapest over the long term by a large margin.
*note - not always.
