Which was the case here. The guy worked for a well known military contractor working with the Saudi military.

By all accounts he was a bit of an a..hole to his wife, so who knows.

We all have friends of friends, and things happen to people somewhere every day.

I've known the friend in question for five years,he's a stand up guy....

A friend of a friend was doing exactly that around that time and he was beheaded at a fake police checkpoint on the eastern ring road. Not saying that the dress caused it, but it certainly didn't...

In public yes, but what I do in my own home is my own affair. Which is how I think it is for most expats in the Gulf.

I did know of a couple that divorced and then got back together. But they never told the Saudis they divorced, so as far as paperwork went they were still married.

They are now fully separated...
