Years ago I walked out of Sainsbury’s without paying for a large bottle of fabric conditioner. My daughter was sat in the trolley and I’d put it down the side where she was sitting. I didn’t notice until I lifted her out when I got to my car. I took it back to customers service...the staff laughed at me for going back into the store. I was so relieved I hadn’t been stopped as I was walking out of the store for ‘stealing’ it.

One of which I *should* take back I suppose.
I would return it to your local store...it’s the right thing to do.

imagine though if it had been a bottle of your favourite plonk - would you still have returned it?

Doubtless I'll eventually do that - after one has been installed (in case its damaged or missing parts) and when I pick a time at my local Costco when the return line is short.

When I first stayed with the in-laws and saw those queues at Walmart, I just thought it was shoddy goods being returned. But it seems something else may be afoot.

Why are people returning things to Costco?

Costco has a very good returns policy such that, some people, use something for a period of time and then return it for a full and no questions asked refund.

Sounds similarly dodgy to Walmart customers returning stuff then

Not sure if it would have made a difference because of the passengers age, however it should not take a flight crew 10 mins to locate emergency equipment.

I've had people ask me where I work when I've seen them daytime in the week

But now that I think of it, not for a couple of years. Perhaps I now have the air of someone retired.
