Brisbane had 2 games companies both small, it is warm most of the time but it has the one thing that I didn't want... critters (spiders, insects etc) large enough to eat my dogs (chihuahua's).

Vancouver has many games companies but is cold.

where I am I get top notch health insurance, pretty darned good Employee stock purchase plan, royalties that actually make a difference (approx 20% salary last year) and around 40% MORE pay than I got in the UK (relative to cost of living etc).

Having travelled to the UK with him many times since being married, I can honestly say the same about most Brits that I've met. Many are so ignorant of American culture that its laughable. My step daughter even asked what language we speak here. They think the US is exactly like they see on Seinfeld or Friends, and most havent even taken advantage of visiting London, which is one of the worlds most historical cities and so accessable from everywhere in the UK that there's really no good excuse for it. Patricks friends and family travel to cornwall or blackpool for a holiday... or maybe even dare to venture as far as the lake district. Occasionally we'll hear of someone who's gone to Florida... but lets face it,... all Florida is is Tropical Britain. For years we've heard friends say that they don't want to come here to visit us because they're afraid of being shot lol.... that's hilarious... as if we all walk around with a gun strapped to our hip and shoot each other just for the hell of it. I wouldn't call Brits more adventurous... perhaps maybe your circle of friends or family are an exception????

And just out of curiosity.... why go to India when all you need to do to find Indian culture is pop down to local corner shop or nearest take away??? lol
