Sorry, kiddo - your prices are too rich for us! Add S&H and that makes the cost almost exorbitant. This is one reason why the British import shop that was here in Memphis bombed - their prices were just that much too much to most of their patrons, even for an ex-pat.
Better get my shopping list ready for my UK trip

I've noticed the prices in the local World Market have really come down since Fresh and Easy opened in the area. Hob Nobs used to be $6.99, F&E sell them for $4.99 and now WM has them at $3.99, similar kind of thing for Salad Cream, HP...

That and regular, holiday sales where they clear everything for peanuts

Yes I was right, you can get it at Fresh & Easy (which doesn't help if you don't live in the SW), 4 oz for $5.99. Seems okay to me. They also have cuttings.

Pack of 24 Weetabix in The London Market in SLC - just over $11
Pack of 24 Weetabix in Whole Foods Market - $4.27.....
I just wish that Fresh & Easy (sorry, Tesco ) would move a little further east than Vegas. Whole Foods here only carries Marmite, Colman's, Weetabix and a few imported cheddar cheeses (having my home town about 20 miles from Cheddar, I'm particular ), but at least they carry some - I'll look for a bigger store and see if they have a better selection though.
Never seen any English foods in Wal*Mart, Target or the local grocery stores (Smith's, Dick's, Harmon's) although one Harmon's does carry some British cheeses - damned if I'm paying $21.99 a lb for cheese though! :thumb down:
At least Costco carries Mexican coca-cola, so sugar not HFCS, for when I want some pop.

One thing you have to carefully check, when you are buying British Goods, is the expiration date on whatever it is you are looking at.
This applies to larger chains, as well as Mom & Pop stores.

I know Tesco's says otherwise, but I get the impression that F&E isn't doing too well, several locations where they've built stores but never opened them and they're just mothballed.

Hannafords had all the Christmas stuff at 75% off, which included Terry's Choc oranges and the mint chocs, Mincemeat fillings and other bits and pieces.

The place in Freeport has 20% off all of the Christmas stuff at the moment. Things like Christmas puddings are still quite expensive but crackers and decorations might be worth getting now and saving for next year.

They've lost nearly a billion dollars since they moved to the US - granted that's mainly through the costs of new store openings but they have been given about a year and a half to break even at least I understand. Their big investors like Warren Buffet will want to see results soon. I hope they turn things around, I would be very sad to see Fresh and Easy go.

The advent calenders were 2 for a buck or so too, so a bit of cheap choc
