Hmm! I tip a dollar a drink, usually. It does add up. The "up front" thing is something I have never considered. Intriguing.

If one has a bar tab, though, does one tip 20% of the tab? It could be two drinks costing $14 each, so that would be a considerably larger tip than $1 a drink.

That's how I met my current girlfriend, so I think it works.
