Price of gas update...

Re: Price of gas update...
last night, had to get gas in San Bruno, CA (near SFO). The Shell station was about $3.50 for regular, $3.80 for premium. I drove a bit further down El Camino, and found a 76 station selling it for $2.50 and $2.80 !!!!! I figured maybe they had their signs wrong, but sure enough it was only $2.80 for premium. So there seems to be wild variation at the moment. The first shell was very close to the 101/380 interchange, so maybe they are hoping for desperate freeway drivers! There was a Valero between the two, and their prices were 'in the middle' too.
I haven't checked my local Costco (I am a member) but the lines are usually too long to make it an option for me.

Sorry. Oh, I forgot to say that gas was free yesterday at all the stations in my county. We don't know if they were happy because Obama won or if they were giving us a "feel good" before reality sinks in and we realize he is not the second coming.

W. Chester is a large area, there are plenty of 'normal' areas. Plus, there are a lot of stations competing. It's $1.77 at one Mobil station today. It's only a penny more in Mason at Mobil, Speedway and Thornton's. I used to have to commute from Anderson Twp. to Dayton for awhile and found that area (and Sharonville) to have the best prices.

OK, here is my attempt at conversion taking 1 US gallons = 3.7854118 litres and exchange rate @ $1.6 - £.
£3.59 US Gallon $5.70 US Gallon - Unleaded
£5.64 US Gallon $9.02 US Gallon - Diesel
I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong
