moving to usa

What more do you want? You told us you were a welder, and people rightly told you you wouldn't be eligible for a work visa - but you neglected to mention the mill you'd made from selling your business that would make you eligible for an investment visa.
Funnily enough, our psychic powers aren't that great..............

Well, it should. It sounds like the last six pages I've just read of your thread.
The people on here are extremely knowledgable regarding the immigration procedure and processes, however, they need people to say more than "I'm moving over" who then get defensive when asked followup questions.
Nobody on this forum owes anyone a reply... We're al here because we want to help people who can REALISTICALLY get over here, work through the process. If it's not possible or information is not forthcoming, it simply isn't worth people wasting their times with sensible answers.
As someone who has spent much time studying the habits of newbies on the forum, I'll break down your original comments to show you where you went wrong and why people jumped to conclusions regarding your visa eligibility:
Hi i am thinking of move to the usa and would like to where are the best places to live and what is the cost of living ie what is would i pay for house tax and for health insurance and is there any thing else that i would need to know.
Hi no not got a visa yet just finding as much about it before as i can before i start applying.i want to make sure i have money to pay my way till i get a job.
People concluded, not unrealistically, from these two points that you had a whim to move to the US, were at step 1 in the process, had obviously not read the Wiki (which is more than opinions, it's fact) and had obviously done no research yourself. That puts you into the...

you were asking us crap like house tax and health insurance.
it all boils down to the visa, which is what was said on page 1.
that hasn't changed.
it's still all about getting here............
sweat the small stuff later on.
No-one will begrudge you getting here if you can.
But nothing has changed our minds to think you can actually achieve that.

Here's your opener... loads of vague points with little detail... Obviously this was going to get loads of questions regarding your status and without a doubt get a number of synical responses. You then follow up with...
This implies that you will be coming over looking for a job (nothing about already having a business to relocate... If you own a business, why would you be looking for a job?

Hello rags... Maybe you should understand something about this board. We get people coming on here on a daily basis coming out with their dreams of moving to the USA with little more chance of moving here than I have of being voted miss universe... They generally start off with a non-descript question such as "thinking of moving over, where should I move to?". from there they get a number of questions and, when prompted for additional details, they either get abusive or they start saying things like "you can't ruin my dreams!"...etc... Does that sound familiar?

Visa eligibility, should be questions 1 through 15... Only after you get past that starter should you move onto cost of living questions.
Apart from anything else, cost of living expenses vary from place to place and are on a sliding scale from dirt cheap for limited service and nails to stunningly expensive which comes with optional oral pleasuring with every monthly bill.

No offence rags... Who cares how much it'll cost you for car insurance if your horse is going to drop dead before it gets to the first hurdle?

How much money have you got? (Round to the nearest $10k)
What will your income be?
Where are you planning on living?
I'll happily tell you whether it is a realistic proposition or not.

The nice man at the embassy told him he can come to live here because he has some money and he is a welder...no problem seems he's sorted.

Homeowners tax: Based on the evaluation, I pay $51 for every $1,000. The next town (four miles away) pays $22 for every $1,000.
Car insurance: Just as in the UK, depends on the insurer, where you live history, age and condition of the vehicle...etc... What I pay is irrelevant as I doubt you'll own a 2003 Subaru Outback and live in Up-State New York.
Medical Insurance: Depending on the level of service you're after, this could be between $15 a month and $200 a month (but this depends on the past medical history of the insured people, whether you have employer contribution...etc...). Beyond that, you may or may not have a co-pay in addition to the monthly insurance cost (generally, the lower the monthly payment, the higher the co-pay). If you're after the "extra" package, it'll be up the high end.
As said before, it varies from person to person and from location to location. Each state has it's own laws regarding some of this stuff... Some counties and even TOWNS have their own rules regarding these sort of things.
Now... Get your visa sorted out and feel free to come back when you have more questions.

Give a lot more info, and you'll get it in return. You can't be vague and expect people to just guess!
