Gosh people here are not very helpful ... just because they are sorted, they don't want to help any body , but rather they laugh at the fact that you are trying go to the USA , if no one has any useful advice to say, then why bother with the forum.. keep all negative thoughts to your self

Pleased to meet you too.

Gosh, I think you'll find that this board provides more useful information that almost any other resource on the net.

...but it doesn't owe anyone an answer, to-the-point or otherwise.

In this case, the only salient question is whether the OP can get a visa. The rest of the crap they're asking for is pointless if the visa question isn't addressed first.

Welcome to BE. We look forward to your contributions.

What says "there after welders over there"?

Welding is not a skill that is eligible for an employment-based visa, unless I am very much mistaken. So I'm afraid "it" must be wrong when it says that.

Lisa.......

1) who says we have to be helpful.

this is Britishexpats.com

not wannabeabritishexpat.com
or canImovetoLosangeles.com
or howaretheschoolsinvirginia.com

we are under absolutely no compulsion to help anyone whom woke up this morning and thought "hey, I pay a fair chunk in council tax, I wanna move to America"

without a hint of research, realism, forethought or chance of ever, and I mean EVER moving to the USA based on the information they divulged.

2) just because you're sorted

what? sorted how? again, this is Britishexpats.com I expect to converse with Britishexpats......... how is that wrong?

3) anything useful to say.
the word visa was brought up on page 1. that's all the help they need. everything else asked of us was irrelevent on the thread.

4) keep all negative thoughts to yourself?

why? even America has pros and cons....... life is not a constant ray of sunshine........ despite what some want to hear....... should we just tell people what they want to hear? or is that doing them a disservice?

5) shut up. you know nothing idiot.

You know maybe when we get these threads titled like "I want to move to America" We should do exactly what you said and just tell them what they want to hear.
I haven't been on this forum long but i have seen quite a few of those threads started and when they get honest straight up answers to their questions they are unappreciative and disrespectful.

They should be lucky that they even get any responses taking the piss out of their post ! I mean they could of done some research on their own but instead they decided to just ask a bunch of people on the internet and be lazy. That pisses me right off, people that ask for help, ask for assistance and then get mad when its not what they wanted.

With all due respect we are normally very helpful. We have tried to help the OP but he will not accept it...he is under some illusion that all US roads are paved with gold and he is the male equivalent of Dorothy.

Been there, done that.

For some reason, they're no happier when I confirm that the streets of Florida really are paved with gold, and that every new immigrant to America gets a Green Card, $1M, a new Cadillac, their teeth fixed and a boob job.

Mind you, they're right to look down their nose at the new Cadillac.

You forgot the bit about introducing yourself to the nice immigration officer. If you don't mind waiting a few minutes he'll organise a cab and hotel room for you...all on Uncle Sam. Welcome to America.

A taxi?!? A hotel room?!? I got a frickin' limo to a beach-front mansion in Malibu. You must have got a duff immigration officer. You should have sent him back and asked for a more generous one!

We have a special relationship between the UK and the US, don't you know?
