Its funny. Windsor Davis had that Sgt Major voice.
Pity it isn't a series you can still get.
Found Steptoe and Son on Blockbuster the other day, and Rising Damp.

You'd be well out of place in the gay community at large as the majority of gays are every bit as "boring" as straights in their every day lives. So go ahead and wear a wig and leather pants and be part of a minority group that goes on gay pride marches and all that caper and gives the impression that all of us are like that. The majority of us are not into all that.

sorry if I'm a wee bit wraithed. I shouldnt be as I've been down the pub most of the evening had a few and then a fantastic curry but didn't fancy doing the clubbing tonight

Cheers

Very true about attendance at christian colleges, its sky-rocketing.

Along with nonsensical practices, here are two for example:

At a local baptist college (belmont) the 'in' thing right now is not 'no sex before marriage' its 'NO KISSING BEFORE MARRIAGE'

Another example is a couple of born again muppets I know.

They dated for years having a normal relationship (in my eyes) (i.e. shagging)

They broke up for a couple of years and during this time they both found the Jesus. Then then got back together again but decided not to have sex again before marrige (about 18 months total of dating and being engaged), these people did not kiss either.

WTF?

I'm not sure about there being an omnipotent being, and I'm pretty sure someone called Jesus was not his son or sent down here to save us.

I am however open to the idea of a bloke called Jesus who went round trying to get people to practice good values to each other.

So when people do things which I think are nutty, I ask myself - what would jesus think?

Would he think kissing before marriage is bad?

Would he thing that a union between two people of the same sex is bad?

Would he think that drinking and dancing at weddings (or in general) is bad? (the baptists for those who are flummoxed)
Interesting. You'll believe Jesus came and died simply to give us a 'nice set of values' yet don't mention your thoughts on what Jesus said regarding Who He was and why He came. Because, after all, He never claimed to just be offering fancy values. He came so that we might live, He said. He came so that whoever believes in Him AND repents of their sin, will not go to hell but spend eternity with Him. Just brush all that aside though I guess and take the stuff that's easier to handle? Here's a thought though, if all He was is a good teacher as some claim He was, tell me what GOOD teachers do you know that lie to their pupils? He told them He was the Son of God. He never gave us the option of calling Him anything else.

I love how those who clearly do not read a Bible, have no belief in Christ have this odd tendency to ask themselves WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? How on earth would YOU know? Leave that to those who spend their days and lives trying to get to know Him and learn of Him. Those people who refrained from sex after becoming Christians are doing so because it's something they believe they should have been doing as that is what God's Word says and they are trying to make it right. That's what the word repentance means (something a person MUST do in order to be saved). It means turning our backs on our past sins and promising not to commit them again. Sheesh, and if they did continue their old lifestyles you would call them a hypocrite. I hate this intolerance for Christians in the world. They can't win.
