    Hi All

This is probably a stupid question. Are there other roads out of Houston etc other than freeways? Here in UK we have A roads B roads etc. I imagine if we had to evacuate a Uk city we would use the motorways as a last resort knowing how you can get trapped in traffic jams.

I did travel in Louisiana ten years ago and after visiting New Orleans we travelled to Texas. We decided to travel the coast road that I read on our map. However on the coast road no one else was on it, it was full of potholes and the camber? was wrong. Could not believe that we were in USA!

Interesting little tidbit, the governor in my state has asked all school districts to close Mon and Tues in order to conserve gas. The expected jump in prices because of Rita will impact the school districts. All but 4 districts have complied.
He also has asked us to limit nonessental travel and to consider a four day work week.

Yeah I'm sure, not sure what the cost will be though-2.65 here yesterday.
If you ARE coming through on 75 then I think Macon is the largest city south of Atlanta so should find some there.
