I swear people move over here and get soft. My first car was an old Mini think it was a 1982? Was like riding around in a rinsed out baked bean tin.

My father owned a Mini van - now that was like driving a repurposed baked bean tin. ..... It went like $4!t off a shovel though. He sold it about a year before I would have been in a position to buy it. :(

My first car was a POS, but then I got older and bought decent ones.

Civilized ones.

With climate control.

Like any reasonable person.

Where, as you climbed the ladder of sophistication, did your two Ram trucks fit?

When I feel a bit chilly or warm in the car I turn the dial back and forth. Like a person who isn't a just a little bit soft. :p

In all seriousness I think when looking to purchase cars I ignore the little stuff. Now that I think of it, a back up camera would be great.

Meh. Mine just has a/c settings, and then super a/c or something. I'm dead jealous and want a car with a temp setting.

The really cool (;) ) ac feature confronting and confusing me in my new car isn't plain old digital climate control. It's 2 zone, individually controlled temps, fan speeds + assorted blah-blahs - for driver and passenger sides.

This allows you to cruise the Amazon while your passenger dials himself up and down as he scales Everest.

So 'hot'!

I really like the dual zone stuff. A Skoda Octavia I rented in the UK recently had it. Was great, and the car was fantastic as well.

Standard on mine and (I think) an option on pretty much all the others.

I know Mrs. N. has it fitted on her standard Cooper.

At the 20-30k Mini's sell for (here anyhow) I'd expect some extra stuff in them....

We have to get el cheapo sub compacts and they don't always have the best options.....

Mazda doesn't offer it at all on the 2, and looks like on the Mazda 3 they offer it as an option on the middle model and standard on the high end model, but not available at all on the low end model. According to their website.

My guess is few if any offer it on sub-compacts and lower end model compacts, and since we can't get anything else, I guess we have just never come across it before..lol

My mom's Hyundai something or other has it though, full size model they have, forget the name...

Our car is also an ex rental and well rental agencies don't exactly buy all the bells and whistles.

Would come in handy though, my wife is always cold, and I am always warm.

We would probably do better with that kind of bed....

I need a firmer mattress and she likes a softer mattress. I wake up horribly sore from our current mattress, she sleeps well though, I sleep on the couch in the room instead or I wake up with a back and neck that can barely move....

Maybe 2 twins pushed together is the solution.lol
