Some UK providers offer up to 3 months healthcare - £10m....my NatWest Blackcard account covers me for up to 6 months...the beauty is if anything major happens it covers you and repatriation....minor stuff they can wait or just fly back and have NHS as well....however awful it does offer some protection...also they ccan be in UK in June / July / August to avoid humidity ....perfect solution

I didn't bring it up....someone took offence because I said I had over $1m .....if they had read on it stated this wanst enough to retire on and not enough (in my opinion) to buy a decent (non manual ) business and a decent home in California ...

I saw that.

Generally, when someone makes a small dick joke, one doesn't need to keep responding with a confirmation, though.

Agreed.
And think: "an hour inland from LA = hotter and smoggier.
Have you explored Northern California?
It's gorgeous.....Sonoma/Mendocino/Napa counties?
Of course it's not tropical - like Florida, but then neither is LA
Also....since you're up for a bit of adventure....well why limit yourselves to choosing between CA or FL.....what about Costa Rica, Bali etc.
It's your oyster, the world.....
