The latter's a take-away only place but has a bench outside you can sit on and people-watch.

Does the fact that you live nowhere near either of these places hinder your attempts to go there at all?

Come on! This is America - it's only down the road!

Seriously - even if I only end up going there 3 or 4 times a year then it just makes it even more special.

Haven't found anywhere over here that has good Fish and Chips. It's even a problem getting good fish down here as everyone eats Catfish. They even eat a fish called "Crappie" (pronounced sort of like crah-pay).

Last time we were in England we pigged out on Fish and Chips.

crappie is a fresh water fish caught by fishing in lakes ponds etc pronounced like its sounds crap pee lol but is quite good actually ,cat fish sucks, soft flesh. but there its up to the consumer I hate haddock. prefer flounder grouper tilapia. we have a great selection of seafood here in the Carolinas. I make my own fish n chips in a deep fryer have a good beer batter recipe nice and crunchy can also get malt vinegar very easily.
