The earth has magnets in it (you can dig em up, I saw it on tv). All the magnets in the ground are why we don't all fall off of it. Without them, places like Australia wouldn't work at all!!!!

Gravity, well, you can't mess with that, it's the Law.
Apparently they don't have enough magnets in Florida, and so rely on the Law. Its called the Stand on Your Ground law; at least I think that's what I heard.

No, that's why they launch rockets there - less gravity.

I think you are confusing it with Australia. Easy mistake to make.. Hot, sandy, insects the size of french cars.

Yeah, and lots of snakes and lots of Brits, yeah, they're almost the same place.

But no rockets in Australia since the Blue Streak program was abandoned.

And, oh bugger! I'm going to check my vacuum is 50-60Hz online, as my container is currently travelling up the east coast!

EDIT: just checked online, looks like i'm screwed? "Electrical connection 230V/50Hz/13A". Can't believe i've had it transported all this way and it's going to be useless?
I feel your pain. I waved goodbye to my lovely Dyson a few weeks ago and now am looking sadly at new ones and knowing that this one will also be left homeless in a couple of years.
The husband feels the same about his tv but he cheered up a little when his new one arrived this week
