Absolutely correct but the moment you get stopped by an officer then he should advise you that you have 90 days while resident in any state to get your license, he should then book you for that ticket so you have to prove it.

It’s so crazy that none of them seem to know what’s going on. If i fail my test tomorrow i’m hoping they’ll extend my temp license rather than giving me one of the probational ones where I have to be accompanied!!
So annoying to keep being told different things as I now have no idea what will happen if I fail tomorrow!

Oh well. Wish me luck!

Ask to see the supervisor if they refuse to extend your temporary license.

That’s a good idea. It says on the DMV website to ask for a supervisor if you don’t feel you’re being treated fairly. I guess the answer is just to pass the frickin test! Haha.

Thanks for all your help and support!
Merry Xmas!

Thanks all I guess it wasn't something that I really needed to get myself in such a panic about. What a fool.

Didn't your insurance company ask questions?

Quite correct.....happened to my hubby who had been in the state one month and had his appointment for the test, but had not taken it yet. He was stopped for minor infringement and was told in no uncertain terms to get his CA licence.

Mind you that was 11 years ago ..... probably now the police would say they don't have time to deal with licence offenders.
