And yet beckham gets talked about by some people as if he is in the same league as these guys - he isn't even playing the same game as them ffs.

He hits a good dead ball and he doesn't look like he's been beaten with the ugly stick - that's about it.

I love the fact that you mentioned Zizou first..

It seems his new team mates aren't exactly overjoyed with the amount of money Beckham is getting paid

http://www.soccer365.com/Home/page_89_134772.shtml

Under MLS rules, each side is allowed one star player who does not come under the salary cap - but the budget for the rest of the squad is limited to around £1million, or £50,000 per player per season.

By contrast Beckham will earn £500,000 a week from his salary, image rights and associated sponsorship - but not including personal endorsements.

When he was at United his delivery from open play was outstanding. You could see how they suffered in that area after he left.

Maybe he can teach them some new skills?

Or introduce them to Rebecca Loos?

It can't be due to diving. Ronaldo at Man United can still dress himself!

Again as I said earlier, Beckham has one thing- he manages the media better than he has ever managed a ball. I watched Maradona play when he was at Barcelona, Bernd Schuster also and Hugo Sanches in Madrid and IMHO (as a yank who knows a little about soccer) Becks does not stack up to them. He does do one thing well though, and it is 90% of his job- he puts asses in seats and in front of telivisions.
